TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is investigating a fatal crash between a 2006 Scion TC and a 2020 Peterbilt dump truck, at the intersection of I-4 W and E Columbus Drive , under the overpass.
On Wednesday, Tampa PD Officers responded to a crash at I-4 W and E Columbus Drive, under the overpass. The 2006 Scion TC failed to stop at a red light at the off-ramp intersection, at which point the dump truck struck the Scion.
Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased 25-year-old black male in the front passenger seat of the Scion.

Lifesaving measures were performed, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, but ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
The driver and back seat passengers of the Scion were also transported to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threaten injuries.
The driver of the dump truck was unharmed.
DUI Manslaughter charges are pending on the driver of the 2006 Scion TC.
