20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Spring Hill Crash

SPRING HILL, Fla. – A 20-year-old Spring Hill man was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 7:34 a.m. on US-19 at the intersection of Windward Boulevard.

A 52-year-old Spring Hill woman driving a GMC sport utility vehicle was traveling northbound on US-19 when she turned left into the path of a southbound Honda motorcycle, driven by the 20-year-old man.

The motorcycle struck the SUV, and the impact caused the SUV to leave the roadway and collide with a sign. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike.

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
