TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects who stole guns from a local gun store and range.
According to deputies, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, just after 5:30 a.m., two suspects smashed a window of the Florida Firearms Academy located at 13317 W Hillsborough Ave.
The two men were able to remove a total of five long guns (shotguns and rifles) from the business.
The suspects were not able to get full entry to the building thanks to burglar bars. The suspects fled then went west to a waiting vehicle on Memorial Highway.

“This is a crime that creates even more criminal activity, and we want these thieves off our streets,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Not only is their thievery a problem for the business they victimized, but this grows when the weapons they stole end up in the hands of other criminals and more crime is committed.”
Detectives ask for the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects and/or vehicles pictured.
