ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Police in St. Petersburg are investigating a shooting that left two people wounded on Monday.

According to police, at 12:30 p.m. Monday, they received a call about shots fired in the 1600 block of Central Avenue.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found two people with gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to an area hospital in stable condition, police say.
