TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a homicide that occurred at the Palms at Sand Lake in Tampa.
According to deputies, on Wednesday at 7:25 p.m., a 911 caller reported shots fired at his apartment located on Marsh Harbor Place.
Deputies responded to the scene and found two victims, one that was transferred to AdventHealth with non-life-threatening injuries and one that was sent to TGH where he was later pronounced deceased.

During the investigation, deputies determined there was an altercation inside the apartment, and at some point, shots were fired.
One of the three people inside the home was fatally shot, and a woman in her 70′ in an adjacent apartment sustained an injury when a bullet struck her foot. The deceased victim is in his mid-20s.
“There is never a reason for an argument to turn deadly,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “teamHCSO will not tolerate gun violence and will work to hold those accountable for this heartbreaking tragedy.”
