RIVERVIEW, Fla. – Amidst the chaos of Hurricane Debby on Monday, two men were arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for stealing a motorcycle in Riverview.
The suspects, Dariel Sanchez, 29, and Yoel Luis Espinosa Nuñez, 28, were apprehended by the Auto Theft Unit shortly after they loaded the stolen motorcycle into a van.
During the arrest, a loaded Glock 17 pistol and various burglary tools were found in their vehicle. Sanchez, the driver, faces multiple charges including possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief, grand theft, and firearm possession during a felony.

Espinosa Nuñez also faces charges related to the theft and possession of burglary tools.
“It takes a special kind of criminal to take advantage of the community during a state of emergency,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “While residents were sheltering from the winds and rain, these two felons looked to profit. Let this serve as a warning: the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office won’t allow criminals to take advantage of residents during any weather condition.”
