SPRING HILL, Fla. – Two Hernando County School crossing guards were injured after being struck by a drunk hit-and-run driver, deputies say.
According to deputies, just after 4 p.m., multiple 911 calls were received in the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center regarding a hit-and-run traffic crash involving two school crossing guards.
Callers reported witnessing the driver of a tan sedan driving erratically in the area of Deltona Boulevard and Northcliffe Boulevard in Spring Hill.

The driver of the tan sedan then struck two school crossing guards standing in the grassy median at the intersection.
After striking the crossing guards, the driver of the tan sedan fled southbound on Deltona Boulevard. While attempting to flee the area, the driver also struck a concrete drainage cover on the southwest corner of the intersection.
As a result of striking the drainage cover, the sedan became inoperable a few blocks south of the crash site. The driver, later identified as 54-year-old Robert Noack, fled on foot.
Deputies converged on the area and promptly located Noack, who denied being the operator of the tan sedan.

The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene to handle the crash investigation.
According to jail records, Noack has been charged with multiple charges, including DUI, Hit-And-Run-, as well as drug possession charges.
He is being held in the Hernando County Jail on a no-bond status.
