Sarasota Police Arrest Man on Child Porn

19-Year-Old Sarasota Man Arrested and Facing Multiple Counts of Child Porn Possession

SARASOTA, Fla. – According to Sarasota Police, a 19-year-old Sarasota man was arrested and facing multiple counts of possession of child pornography. Ted Sanchez, 19, of Briggs Avenue, Sarasota, is facing 10-counts of possession of child pornography.  Additional charges are possible.

On November 23, 2020, detectives with the Sarasota Police Department received notification from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office that they were sending a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about a suspected child pornography case at 145 North Briggs Avenue, Sarasota.

A computer uploading program notified NCMEC of an account on their service that uploaded four suspected child pornography videos over several months.

Detectives confirmed the images were child pornography.  Sanchez was arrested on Sunday, December 6, 2020, and transported to the Sarasota County Jail where he is being held on a $150,000 bond. This case remains under investigation.
