Over 1,000 miles and 24 hours after an 18-year-old woman was kidnapped at gunpoint in South Florida, her alleged kidnapper was arrested and the young woman found safe in Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C.
On Sunday at around 5:30 a.m, the Pembroke Pines Police Department received a call from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office advising that two victims in their jurisdiction had been kidnapped at gunpoint outside of their residence in Pembroke Pines.
Two victims told police that they had returned to their home at 12:30 a.m. and were confronted by the suspect, Jaddier T. Sanchez, 37.
The suspect is known to the victims through their daughter, 18-year-old Nicole Martinez.
The suspect forced all three victims into a vehicle owned by Martinez’s Father, a red Dodge Ram pick-up truck, with Florida Tag #PYDC13.
Sanchez then drove them to various banks to withdraw money from the ATM’s.
Sanchez then drove to Palm Beach County (Belle Glade), where he left the mother and father on the side of the road and left in the stolen vehicle without releasing 18-year-old Martinez, who is being held against her will.
The suspect was arrested and the young woman found safe in Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C.
