A 17-year-old boy in Illinois has been charged as an adult with the murder of his 16-year-old girlfriend. David Sosa turned himself in to the Rochelle Police Department on October 15th, confessing to his involvement in a death.
Deputies conducted a welfare check at Sosa’s apartment and tragically found his girlfriend, Jaedyn Hill, deceased. The Peoria County Coroner determined that Hill died from strangulation.

The Lee County State’s Attorney’s Office filed four counts of first-degree murder against Sosa, who now faces a potential sentence of 20 to 60 years in prison if convicted. He is currently being held at the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center.
