15-Year-Old Boy Shot And Killed In St. Petersburg: Police

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A tragic shooting at the TGM Bay Isles apartments on Wednesday evening has claimed the life of 15-year-old Tomohnd Newkirk.

Officers with the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to the apartment complex, located at 11850 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street North, just before 6 p.m. on December 18th after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Newkirk suffering from a gunshot wound.

The teen was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are actively investigating the homicide and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
