14-Year-Old Boy Shot And Hospitalized In St. Petersburg; Investigation Underway

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Authorities are investigating a shooting involving a 14-year-old boy at 1943 44th Street South that happened around 3:45 pm.

Police say the child was near 20th Ave. S. and 44th St. S, when another group fired several shots.

The boy got to a nearby house for help and was transported to the hospital.

The injured teenager has been taken to John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital for treatment. Police say the child is in critical but stable condition.
