PLANT CITY, Fla. – The Plant City Police Department is actively investigating a homicide and shooting that occurred Sunday night.
Around 9:30 p.m. on February 16, 2025, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1800 block of East Warren Street. Upon arrival, they found a deceased male inside a vehicle and another male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm. The injured male was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

“Our department is working tirelessly and utilizing all available resources to determine what happened and bring those responsible to justice,” said Chief Richard Mills. “We are also keeping the victim’s family in our thoughts during this difficult time.”
Investigators are asking residents in the area to review any home security camera footage they may have that could assist in the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Plant City Police Department at (813) 757-9200.
