CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A Citrus County man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple drug trafficking and firearm-related charges. Connor James Vidair, 30, was sentenced on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, following a jury trial where he was convicted of:

  • Trafficking in Cocaine
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of a Short-Barreled Rifle
  • Possession of a Place to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Cannabis
  • Possession of Cannabis Over 20 Grams
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

“The defendant not only trafficked dangerous drugs in our community but did so while armed as a convicted felon,” stated Chief Assistant State Attorney Walter Forgie. “The jury carefully examined all the evidence presented, including photographs, statements, and fingerprint evidence, and determined that the defendant was guilty of these crimes and must be held accountable.”

The charges stemmed from a March 2024 arrest by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU). Detectives executed a search warrant at Vidair’s residence in Citrus Springs after an investigation into narcotics sales at the home.

During the search, SIU detectives found trafficking amounts of cocaine, cannabis, cannabis wax, edibles, a sawed-off shotgun, a handgun, and a small drug production lab. They also discovered a large amount of cash, scales, packaging materials, and other drug paraphernalia.

Vidair denied ownership of the illegal items but admitted to living alone in the residence.

Assistant State Attorneys Patsey Jacobs and Tara Hartman successfully prosecuted the case.
