Brooksville Fire Turns Deadly: One Person Found Deceased In Burning Home

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – A mobile home fire in Brooksville has tragically claimed the life of one individual. Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to the blaze on Shady Street around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Firefighters were alerted to a possible trapped occupant while en route to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the mobile home engulfed in flames. Crews bravely entered the burning structure to search for any occupants and discovered a victim deceased inside at 7:32 p.m.

Firefighters battled the intense blaze and brought it under control within 30 minutes. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported to civilians or first responders.

The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office, in conjunction with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating the cause of the fire.
